ELIGIBILITY
The iMatter Scholars Collective seeks applicants who:
Are between the ages of 18 and 45 (applicants must not turn 46 during the application process).
An active member in full connection and apart of the Mid-Atlantic Episcopal District
Can identify and commit to the Vision and Mission of the iMatter Scholars Collective.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Interested applications should submit:
Academic transcripts from all undergraduate or graduate education (for applicants with previous higher education experience) OR High School transcripts (for applicants without previous higher education experience).
A current resume
Three (3) letters of reference/recommendation
One letter of reference/recommendation must come from a former teacher or professor indicating applicant’s commitment to high academic achievement
One letter of reference/recommendation must come from your pastor
One letter of reference/recommendation must come from a community leader indicating applicant’s civic engagement
Recommendations must come directly from the recommender to the scholarship committee
A statement of interest (essay)
Applicants in the 18-29 age range should write an essay on the following topic:
Rev. Dr. Lewis M. Anthony and Rev. Dr. Kathryn G. Brown both left an indelible impact on youth and young adult leaders. Please describe your leadership qualities and how you will use those qualities to advance the mission of this scholars collective through social justice and ecumenism.
Applicants in the 30-45 age range should write an essay on the following topic:
Rev. Dr. Lewis M. Anthony and Rev. Dr. Kathryn G. Brown both believed in the value of mentorship and discipleship. Please describe your commitment to mentorship and discipleship and how these two factors will assist you in advancing the mission of this scholars collective.
